Letting us know what is ahead in the next month could stop the complaining and leave some room for discussion.
The "General Discussions" is becomming more a "General Complain".

Genital discussion is a bad idea.

The plan is to try to get expansions every 3-6 months (they're free so no paying 15$ for them) and smaller patches as necessary to fix things between. CCP does express they want to stick to 3 month cycles however developer things DO happen and an expansion may get delayed by a month or two depending on the content.

There is still balance and fix patches on the way the dust from Uprising hasn't settled yet as many things are still unresolved and need fixing. This however doesn't take all the team's time so progress is being made by other teams. For example art and sound teams responsible for new content rarely have to go back and fix things so they're pumping out more artwork such as more buildings, weapons, effects, though sometimes the new things replace old things it is still progress forward.

So does this mean we have to wait for about 2+ months for some new content? I could understand and live with that, but I feel that this game needs help and content asap. Seeing this horrible reviews CCP must somehow feel the same way, right?

in all honesty
i think CCP does not give a rat's A$$ about the reviews

the game is in it for the long run
im talking 10-20 years

if this game is anything like eve
it will keep growing and getting bigger better
graphic updates
content updates

this game will change and improve over time
that's the nature of things from what i can tell its not just

(we are done spend money on the game and we will just keep it running until it becomes unprofitable)
if they really cared about profit at this point they would have made a completely different game or focused there attention on eve

This is a PS3 beta test till PS4 and PC.
No graphic or bigger scale updates till then due hardware limitations.
10-20 years? hardly. Console players switch around once the next FPS game comes.

I think Dust can be this kind of FPS where you would liek to stick a little longer,
but it shure feels like a beta for the PS4.

Bump.
I'm sorry dear reader, but I would really like to have some response from CCP. Even if it’s something I don't like.
Let me try to explain it one more time. I would like to know what CCP is planning on the short, mid and may be long term goal. It could even be the small things, for example letting us know what is considering to balance, so we (the community) have the chance to response and have the knowledge of what is ahead. May be telling us when to expect the next bigger content patch, why is it taking so long.

In the business world, there are a couple rules which can make the live of a service provider a lot easier. I’m sure I don’t know them all, but my company has - like every company - some unsatisfied costumers. We “treat” them with some true information. We explain why something is taking longer than expected, and try to explain (not all have a high understanding in technology) why it is for the best if takes a little longer. The Americans say something like: better save then sorry. Right?
So CCP, why not letting us know a little more, I would be a lot more satisfied if I would know more about your problems and the way you are thinking.

CCP does care about the reviews but they do not traditionally react the same way, but unlike many other companies they're going to learn from the reviews and press forward instead of using the reviews as an excuse to fire people (cough EA, Activision and now more recently Gearbox)

As for the 3-6 month expansion thing... that is unofficially no longer the case but I will let CCP explain what is going with development when they feel ready and what they are planning is feasible. Dust 514 is getting just as much developed as the CCP Shanghai studio is itself so its not a triple AAA development teams are not made overnight either.

Don't expect any news until after marketting has had its fill at e3.

Yeah enjoy E3 for the week, have fun and seeing how new ways game developers want to push some games (though I died a bit inside when I saw what ea did to destroy plants verses zombies.)

EA destroys so many things... sub... SimCity :(

I hope CCP have something big to announce and E3, and even if, I will be skeptical. And the question remains, if we can get a roadmap.

Hey, we have an internal roadmap. Our lead designer is currently at E3 but when he gets back the plan is for him to write a dev blog that will at least give a rough overview of our roadmap in the coming months. We anticipate people will be pleased with it.

People would be elated with it, if that included place holders for all racial variants. Soon(not tm)

I'm sure we will be impressed - you peeps always overdeliver on content and vision in my experience.

Just please, please, please remember player reaction will be, justifiably, tempered by whether core issues such as aiming and sticky terrain are pecieved as having been addressed or at least worked on.

Players(i.e. year+ beta testers) are getting panicky over this potentially amazing game in which they have invested so much heart, soul, time and money. Failure to address or communicate meaningfully about serious failings in the core mechanics only serves to raise the panic level which for better or for worse drives the rage level on the forums which in turn drives the perception of the viability of the future of the game which in turn feeds back to player and public perceptions.....

I believe our elders and betters were fond of something like 'a stitch in time saves nine'. They know whereof they speak, CCP.

been in beta since the first round of keys came out just after fanfest attendees, since the VERY first build... ive moved on from panic to acceptance... and now simply AFK farm waiting for that "SOON TM" to finally arrive when the game is ACTUALLY finished... also waiting on that respec request that was filed over 4 weeks ago has really been denying any meaningful purpose of playing if i cant play effectively, with over 1.3m SP stuck into a suit that i refuse to use... bloody amarr logi trap...
