Maybe they can't read.

Or are trying to get their KDR above 1.

Any double entendre is unintended I assure you.

Maybe they can't read and don't know that Dust is being shut down.

Maybe they've been pushed back to the redline and aren't coming out because they're being camped.

StraightHmm... should my last post in this forum really be about Redlining?

It's one of the most hated aspects of the game, but for me, the dev's not doing too much to erase Redlining was one of Dust's great decisions. Getting caught in a "Redline" event was (still is) brutal. It's a punishment that players bring on themselves through carelessness, not ever really cowardice.

Dust 514 has always created a traumatically harsh experience for players to fight to survive anywhere towards the middle of the map (at least until they feel they've gotten a confident hang of the game). We jump from the MCC in that blue staging area at the beginning of every match, and see all these other blue players calling down RDVs and prepping stuff.
So ti's only natural to falsely believe the staging area is a safe spot to practice my menu controls, or figure out a setting, or hunch down as a "support sniper", or wait for a fellow player.
They are not really being cowardly,... just trying to trust a safe shelter in the game... never realizing they are MAKING the Redline happen.

Many of us advanced players have tried to help them, convince them that "moving around" is the safer tactic in a Dust match....not nestling somewhere like in your other fps games. We try to convince them that you'd be safer if you just get aboard one of my vehicles and be a passive observer, than to try to be effective in the blue staging areas. Honestly, I'd rather you folks just ride in my Dropship and do nothing during the whole ride, than to watch 12 of you get chewed up and splattered for 7 whole minutes in a Redlining bloodbath.
But it's hard to erase what 20 years of other fps gaming has etched into players.

If Dust had gone on for 15 more years, players would still be setting themselves up to be Redlining victims. Sad

Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne... No story can have life without writers and publishers.

htfu. Then they should have a cloaked scout to run out and place uplinks in a discreet location. There is no excuse for being redlined, unless you have a severe disadvantage in terms of the number of players you have, like a 5v14 or something like that.

sometimes none of them have cloaks because they are all in frontline suits

Welp than that is just matchmaking's fault.
