Dear Rattati, just check this 3min video evidence:

1. 0:07 Mark jump point.
2. 0:40 Making ordinary jump, mark landing point.
3. 1:30 Making sustained* jump, mark landing point.
4. 1:42 The difference between ordinary and sustained jump is 3 meters.
5. 2:30 Making sustained jump, throw RE in the top of the jump trajectory.
6. 2:50 Mark the point of bomb landing - throw distance is 10 meters.

We did this with 20k ISK worth suit. You are able to deal 1500 HP damage without any harm for yourself.
Although when creating this video a Cloaking Device was not used, it is present in fit.
Using Cloaking Device before jump gives you the ability to accomplish the same thing as invisible.

The same effect can be achieved with: Plasma Cannon, Shotgun, Macro Tactical Scrambler

We require:

1. The delay after decloaking when you can't use any equipment/weapons.
2. The delay after throwing RE when you can't detonate it.
3. REs should make the warning sound as grenades.

*Sustained jump - just press BACK button in the top of the jump trajectory.

I agree with the OP's first two suggestions. RE's should never have become super grenades

Last update (04.01.2015)

Check this video (sry 4 quality, smartphone camera)

1. Boundless packet RE.
2. Boundless RE.

Random results:

1. throw Boundless packet RE (0:53 on video 0.22 on timer), blast after 2,5 sec (0:55 on video, 0.24,5 on timer)
2. throw Boundless RE (1:28 on video 0:57 on timer), blast less than 2 sec!!! (1:30 on video, 0:58,8 on timer)

R.E. are not grenades, nothing more annoying scouts using them as grenades...

Why must you use prototypes?

You can't be invisible while throwing or holding RE's, so... yea... And there is a sound, a pretty loud one at that, one that makes absolutely no sense existing but is there to ensure you don't die to something you had no chance or avoiding.

I'd hate to see your reaction to Bad Company 2's explosive throws.

2012 Olympic longjump

First jump in your vid broke world record jump by 2meters. Every jump after matched the real life jumps above.

Human limitations are apparent in dust as far as run speed is concerned but it seems wearing a futuristic scout suit breaks the bounds of inertia and gravity which allows the wearer to glide and land gently without any effects.

The sprint jump has been severely abused in dust by scouts and has been mentioned to not be an intention that ccp would like in their design.

First and foremost, combat should be fun. Long TTK is not fun if it’s the result of loose controls, poor aim assists or dance-strafing/bunny-hopping combat – all problems that DUST has suffered from in the past.

Since the change in direction to legion and CCP Remnants leave the issues of dance-strafing and bunny-hopping combat has been left unaddressed. Its still very much apart of the game till this day.

CCP Rattati is someone you hold dear? Don't use dear someone unless someone is dear to you. Try hello someone instead.

Edit: A in video explanation would have been nice.

I could be wrong, but I believe "Dear Sir or Madam" to be perfectly acceptable usage.

1. The delay is relatively present, though switching to weapons is fast enough that you can fire before the cloak finishes the decloak animation, whereas with equipment, REs particularly, you need to pull them out then throw them.

2. This is already present in the game. If an enemy is detonating an RE quickly after tossing, then it is an F/45 or a Boundless; ie, a higher level investment which brings the benefit of having shorter activation delay.

3. They do. When deployed they make a beep.

You concerns are already addressed for the most part.

1.There is 0 delay.
Try swapping from an active rep tool to your weapon that's a delay.

2.Scouts can take 3 steps and avoid their own RE while other suits RUNNING is worthless.
I have been killed by insta REs,in basic form.

3.The beep is worthless,by the time you hear it it's already being detonated.

Remote explosive device to be used as a weapon to protect the object and not a weapon attack, if it suits all of you let it will be possible to throw like grenade, add in all the suits cloak active resists and damage modules. Wants to play a tactical shooter, and not to fight with ghosts with bombs, they soon also plasma cannon buff speed and scouts, cloak, RE....

Wrong.

ofc if an object is throw forward it will seemingly keep traveling on that forward vector till gravity has complete control if it is throw off a building

You worry about him spamming scans. I'll worry about making those tanks into a giant pit where money vanishes forever.

People still dont seem to realize that I consider it my personal calling to exterminate all vehicles. There are like three drivers who have a good chance of getting away with the tank intact.

They know who they are

I chase ADS into deep redline so I can trash them before they can recall.

I do not quite understand - how is possible "spamming scans" from a tank?
anyway, imho it's offtopic.

You do understand that distance to throw it doesn't matter, as it still has an activation time? What?

I really want to root for you man. Thanks for the video but explanation is definitely needed, even if its just in the description. It took me a very long time to figure out what you were even trying to accomplish and most people aren't as patient as I am.

1. there is a delay, however the point remains that once they are in that closed gap, next to nothing is going to save you from the Shotgun (and now knives) except other people around you or a very bad scout.
2. there is a delay. The counter starts after the remote leaves your hand, so even if you're in the air and the remote is still falling, its counting that whole time as arming.
3. there is definitely a sound. its the same exact sound as putting down a nanohive or uplink, which is why my blueberries often scare the crap out of me

That being said, only one thing I've seen needs to be fixed, and that's the migrating remotes.

lee corwood wrote:
While sometimes annoying, the hang time I don't mind. But I do think CCP needs to look into how these remotes are detonating people much farther away than stated. I use remotes a lot but mostly proxies on the ground or REs to the back of a tank's bumper.

Proxies tend to slide for a bit on the ground before they stick especially when you're moving. I've heard countless complaints from corpmates and other forum users that scouts are throwing remotes and the remotes migrate. I assumed they were just not paying attention or that more than one had been planted, but then I watched it happen in match to a fellow blueberry. The throw happened, I saw the remote hit the ground and the sound associated with eq placement. Then I saw it glitch and appear under the BB's feet. It was like a lag/delayed slide that pushed it across the ground not where the initial animation 'placed' it.

I really wish I had been recording when this had happened.

Look at that package though, if this were real it would be able to be thrown a LOT further than just 10 meters.

Yes I know we balance things in the game not based around real life proposals. Didn't CCP already add in a delay for the remotes? I feel that this is fine as it is personally.....

This is the turning point, the rising of the tide. No fear inside
