Bi-Weekly DUST 514 Bug Updates

Welcome to the Bi-weekly Bug Report updates for DUST 514. This thread will catalog a number of bug reports from the forums that are collected and discussed at a bi-weekly meeting with development .

A few things to note:


  • The bugs listed in each post are not the full extent of what is discussed. Just because your bug isn't listed doesn't mean it hasn't been a point of discussion or isn't known about/
  • Sometimes we will not make mention of a bug due to it being classed as an exploit. We will often also remove any posts concerning the exploit from the forums so as to not publicize it's existence. If you are unsure if something is an exploit, please file a support ticket.
  • Sometimes a response from development will have a timeline for the topic. While generally accurate, this should be treated as a guideline, and should only be considered confirmed once it is included in the relevant patch notes for that update.
  • Sometimes we will be unable to reproduce a bug. This generally means we need more detailed information on how to reproduce the bug, as many bugs are only experienced under specific edge cases. If you have more details, screenshots or video, please post it in the thread linked.

Slow sprint effect in various places - Thread
We were not able to repro but this will follow up on it.

Large missile turrets "jammed" - Thread
Known issue, currently under investigating.

Tank shield boosters not activating properly - Thread
Known issue, fix is in the works.

Swarm launchers damage on hacked friendly tank counts toward FF - Thread
Known issue; appears to affect all weapons, not just swarm launchers. Fix is also in the works.

Mass suicide in FW matches - Thread
Still deciding how we want to handle this.

No weapon/equipment in hand, unable to sprint - Thread
Known issue, still being investigated.

Random Fatal Errors - Thread
Programmers are still working on this issue. Should be fixed in 1.8.

Tanks not being picked by passive scanners on minimap - Thread
We're taking a look at it.

Gallente tank turret motion range bigger than Caldari tanks - Thread
Known issue, and we're working on it. However, initial impressions are it isn't an easy fix, so no timeline for this one.

Performance issue ongoing post "Equipment fix" deployment - Thread
A number of players have reported increased performance already, and there are still more fixes planned for 1.8 that should help more people.

Buzzing noise after game - Thread
Known issue, being worked on already.

Starter Pack purchases not being processed - Thread
Status: A fix for this issue has already been deployed, however Sony still needs to complete the fix on their end and give Starter Packs to affected users.

'Nullarbor' dropship handling bugged - Thread
Status: Known issue, being worked on.

Terrain "holes" - Thread
Status: Known issue, being worked on

Remote explosives getting stuck to walls after being attached to LAV - Thread
Status: Known Issue

Forge Gun shoots duds - Thread
Status: We've got a report open for this, and we're looking into it

Random menu/map popups - Thread
Status: We think this is a combined controller/code issue, and we're investigating

Random "You have been removed from battle" mesages - Thread
Status: We're looking into this, we suspect it's a server issue.

Mobile CRU not showing up - Thread
Status: Known issue, being worked on

Dropsuit coloring inconsistencies - Thread
Status: Should be fixed in Uprising 1.8

Turret proficiency skill not applying correctly - Thread
Status: Should be fixed in Uprising 1.8

"Communications" Socket Issue - Thread
Reported, and will be fixed

Invincible uplinks when placed in specific locations - Thread
We found the place, and it is just hard to destroy uplinks. We found some collision issues on the “mushroom roof”. We will report a bug to the LD team.

Persistent Assault dropship camera issues - Thread
We already have a defect filed for this issue, no timeline for when the fix will go out.

Revived mercenaries showing up in different locationThread
This is known issue. We are aware of some of the issues with revivals.

Phantom revive markers - Thread
Also a known issue

Players getting hard freezes in the War Room - Thread
We tried to repro this but still no luck. We'll still keep our eyes open for this.

Voice chat issues - required re-logging - Thread
This is now fixed in 1.8.
