I'm getting weird behaviour when I try to advance to the next DEV post in the thread. I usually click on the blue bar over the top of the dev avatar - but it keeps taking me to a DEV post in different threads instead. It's not even always consecutive posts in terms of time...

Have recently noticed i can't see the small popup displayed when i click on names of some players. Here is a sample list:
General John Ripper
Fire of Prometheus
SoTa PoP
NoExsplosionsMgee

It is not a matter of name lenght, small/capitall letters combination or spaces. I can click on my name and see this popup.

UPDATE [EVE Time: 2013.10.30 13:34]:
It's working now, thanx Smile

There is no way to log in to forum when using PS3 browser.
1) Log-in link is barely visible as it is displayed above the top edge of the screen. On my TV.
2) When i click it anyway i got HTTP error 400 Request badly formatted

I use Chrome (for PC and Android) most of the time for browsing forums but last time i was left with PS3 browser only. Overall navigation experience is fine. Except those two things mentioned earlier.

Is it possible to use my "PS3 credentials" when i am signed in to PSN for automatic DUST forum log-in?
What about this? Still can't log-in to DUST forum via PS3 browser Sad

Five seconds ago I was thinking, "It's a pretty close tie-up between LogicLoop and raRaRa for my favorite dev...." Then you said this and I got a flashback of the months when my computer was fried, having to browse the Dust 514 forums on my slow slow slow phone.

Aww, thank you for the kind words Aeon Amadi!

On another note, I've fixed the PS3 login issue. I will very likely deploy the fix after the weekend!

CCP raRaRa -- thanks for all the work on the web site: many good improvements!

I regularly monitor the forums with the rss feed from a dev post search. When double click an entry in my feed reader (lifera on linux) to load the original source in a web browser (firefox) it takes me to the beginning of the feed. I would expect (and prefer) that it take me to the post displayed in the RSS text.

Is the current behaviour by design? If it is would you consider passing the link to the individual post?

It is but to keep the nerves at strain, to dry one's eyes and laugh at a fall, and baffled, get up and begin again.

When you get the badly formed page just hit the refresh button in the browser. The Dust forum pages should display after doing so.

They either lack common sense or complain about it.

It would be very helpful to not count thread's author views into total views count for a given thread. I am not sure about counting guest (those not signed in) views too.

A new DUST 514 forums build was deployed today.

We're working hard on cleaning up all the JavaScript mess on the forums. If you notice any weird behavior then please let me know on this thread! This is our first phase of cleaning up the JavaScript mess. There are more to come and we're doing this to prepare the forums to become responsive.

Rough changelist:

  • Javascript cleanup phase #1 - more to come!
  • Added like throttle system to stop people from farming likes
  • Added link to the Settings page on the character dropdown menu
  • Added correct background color to the notifications and settings pages
  • Updated the reply notification so that the notification link takes you to the new post
  • Jump to next dev post link has been changed so that the browser scrolls down to the next dev post if it's on the same page, instead of redirecting you to the same page again.
  • Guests can now see how many likes posts have

There are some other minor changes which are technical and should boost performance.

Thanks!

+1 on the notification update.

Will we be getting more control over our avatar?
What about icons or something to show we are CEO / Directors of corps?

I wonder about the Avatar thing. If you think about, it barely does anything in EVE (the fully modeled avatars). Considering the lack of use outside of walking around in quarters (which serves no direct gameplay purpose and has no interaction elements), giving Dust players avatars portrait-wise using the same engine as one-off on the computer wouldn't be a huge leap in terms of requiring things from a design perspective I wouldn't think.

You should really remove the ability to include "FTP" URI's in the signatures, I have a feeling this wasn't intended....

Is this like nerf effecting everyone that ran the FoxFour Liker? if so I ask you to forgive the unsuspecting individuals that ran it. We still like Foxfour =)

Would like to request a "SUB" tag next to threads that we subscribe to. Or some other form of indication that we've subscribed to that thread. Maybe a little grey SUB should appear to the right of the box where the thread title is located.
